Nick Doering-Dorival

Chief Investment Officer

Nick Doering-Dorival joined Palatine in August 2025 as Chief Investment Officer. He is responsible for guiding the firm’s investment process and managing the investment team.

Prior to joining Palatine, Mr. Doering-Dorival was a Partner at Apollo Global Management where he co-headed the US opportunistic real estate business. Before Apollo, he spent nine years at Starwood Capital Group investing in several asset classes, corporate transactions, and distressed debt in both the US and Europe. In addition, he served as chief of staff to the CEO. Previous to Starwood, he held investing roles at Carlisle Development Group, the Exodus Group, and JP Morgan Asset Management. Over his career, Mr. Doering-Dorival has been responsible for over $6 billion of real estate transactions.

Mr. Doering-Dorival earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School in 2010. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 with a BS degree in Economics (Wharton) and a BAS degree in Systems Engineering; he was also a Joseph Wharton Scholar. Mr. Doering-Dorival is a CFA charterholder. He is a Trustee of Oliver Scholars, a former Trustee of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and previously served on the vetting committee of the Apollo Opportunity Foundation.
